Seven restaurants and an average of 3.4 knives. That is the highest score on the map, shared with the Banská Bystrica Region.
Nitra itself has two. Reštaurácia Záhrada, then trading as Hangar, appeared in season 1, episode 5, before the knife rating existed. Rybárska Bašta, now Brassérka, opened season 4 and took four knives.
Season 5 was the strongest here. Bonanza Ranč in Skýcov and Bistro Zetko in Vieska nad Žitavou each took four knives, putting them among the best-rated restaurants on the whole map. Pizza Italy in Želiezovce took three, The Bank in Kolárovo two.
The only closure is Zlatý Mlyn in Ludanice, from season 1, episode 3, filmed back when nothing was rated. The other six are still trading.
The region is large and the addresses are scattered. Kolárovo sits in the south-west by the Váh, Želiezovce in the south-east by the Hron, Skýcov to the north under the Tribeč hills. Nitra is the natural base: most of the addresses are within an hour of it.
