Na Nože restaurants in the Banská Bystrica Region

The Banská Bystrica Region is the show's largest presence by some margin. Twelve restaurants, three more than the Košice Region behind it, and the highest average on the map at 3.4 knives, a figure it shares with the Nitra Region.

The high point is Tri groše in Ľubietová, awarded a full five knives in season 4, episode 12, one of only three perfect scores in the entire show. Four knives went to Silvanus in Kremnica, Yalla Habibi in Banská Bystrica and Penzión Turista by Počúvadlianske Lake.

Banská Bystrica itself has three entries and a page of its own. Alongside Yalla Habibi are Pizza Pub Tank, which opened season 3, and the vegan Veganaf, the only closure in the whole region.

The rest of the region is spread wide. The old mining towns of Banská Štiavnica and Kremnica, Lučenec and Rimavská Sobota in the south near the Hungarian border, Brezno to the east under the Low Tatras, Ľubietová in the hills above the regional capital, and Slovenské Kľačany in the south, where Pizza Família was filmed in season 5. Season 1 came here twice, before the knife rating existed.

Eleven of the twelve are still trading, the best survival rate of any region on the map.
