Banská Bystrica has three restaurants in Na Nože, and all three arrived within the space of two seasons.
Season 3 opened at Pizza Pub Tank on Tulská street, which took three knives and is still trading. Season 4 brought two more: Yalla Habibi on Dolná street in the centre, four knives, and the vegan Veganaf on Štefánikovo nábrežie, three.
Veganaf is the only one of the three that has closed. It was the second vegan kitchen in the show's history and it did not last, despite a respectable score.
The average of 3.3 knives sits above the show's overall 2.9. Two of the three are open.
The city is also the hub of the region with the largest presence on the map. The Banská Bystrica Region holds twelve restaurants, and beyond these three they include Silvanus in Kremnica, Tri groše in Ľubietová with its full five knives, and Penzión Turista by Počúvadlianske Lake. If you are in town with time for a detour, Kremnica and Ľubietová are both within half an hour's drive.
